This is a 16,000 square meter expansion of the first hospital built by IMS in Equatorial Guinea which opened in 2007. It adds a 4-story wing with 140 beds, which will offer all of the most up-to-date diagnostic and treatment services. It includes  ER, imaging and diagnostics (including MRI, gamma camera), accelerators for radiotherapy, advanced labs, chemotherapy department, endoscopy suites, Brachytherapy, isolation rooms and VIP section. There are two oncological in-patient wards, one of which is for children. In addition the power plant is being expanded and a new logistical center is being built.
