This building today is a four-storey structure containing several research and teaching laboratories, as well as offices for researchers. Our proposal calls for a renovation of the existing building to enable the integration of the advanced systems within the structure. A new façade of glass and aluminum will be added. An additional wing, housing large teaching laboratories and classrooms, will connect to the original structure through a central atrium housing an elevator bank serving the two wings.
